A soft wind blows a cool winter's breeze
The snow blows calmly beneath the trees
A boy and a girl sit on a bench in the park
He carved their initials into the tree bark
The boy smiled sweetly and the girl starts to melt
There's no explaining the love that she felt
The boy was a young lad not yet eighteen
The girl was a bit younger, 2 years in between
His hair was black, while hers was brown
He was a joker, she was scared by clowns
She was small, petite, and thin
He packed on a few pounds and a little more skin
He was a tall boy, nearly six three
She was closer to the ground, so it seemed
People would often look at them and stare
The two weren't offended, they didn't care
It was strange to see, her so short, and him, tall
The two didn't mind it, not one bit, not at all
It was the fourteenth of the month of love
And for this moment, the boy thanked God, above
He did it, he got her, he ended up with the girl
He loved every moment, he wished he could give her the world
He was short on cash, but she didnt mind
He wrote her a poem, with love deep inside
As the girl read, her eyes shed a tear
She knew that he loved her, her true love was here
Her dad was the first one to despute her choice
He wouldn't listen to her small, shaking voice
He didnt approve of this dumb skater punk
He didnt want her getting mixed up in that junk
The boy kept on trying, to show that he cared
He asked for permission to date, yes, he dared
The father agreed, if she wasnt back when he called
or by eleven PM, there'd be a brawl
The two got up and started to walk
To the coffee shop, where they had their first talk
She grabbed his hand and led him downtown
To a place where the snow just kept falling around
As they stood on that high balcony
he asked "baby doll, what do you see in me?"
She giggled and said "well your cute and witty"
Then he held her and kissed her as the looked over the city
The continued their walk in the cool night air
She whispered "i'm cold" he had a jacket to spare
One final stop on this perfect night
He said something about showing her light...
He parked his car on a desolate bridge
Just overlooking a calm quiet ridge
He said "yep, thats it" and she let out a sigh
He pointed up, towards the lights in the sky
Fireworks shot, and fireworks blazed
the spelled out the sweetest, three word phrase
She jumped in his arms and he said with a smile
"I wanted to tell you, and i did, but with style"
They got in the car, it was getting too late
The ice on the roads told them to wait
The sky darkened, the clock was still ticking
The ice on the streets was black, and thicking
The car was now racing both hearts were beating
Nearly out of their chests and out of their seating
And as the car sped the girl got the shakes
as his foot slipped the pedal, and missed the brakes
The came upon a turn and tripped
The car hit the edge, went over, and flipped
As the car lay there, with sounding alarms
The girl moved her self into the boys arms
Bleeding and freezing, laying out in the cold
They knew this was it, their stories had been told
The car was crushing, squeezing, restraining
They had only each other, but they werent complaining
They were pinned to the ground, dirt, and mud
He choked on his words as he coughed up some blood
Most of both bodies were smashed severley
Tears filled her eyes, as he whispered, "i love you dearly"
When search crews came looking, they only could find
A story of two lovers, carried out through a rhyme
